I’m Cassandra—or Cassie—and welcome to the abode for my work!
As a Senior Graphic Designer with nearly a decade of experience — I’ve partnered with both agency and in-house teams within a wide span of industries. My expertise includes corporate marketing and advertising, experiential design, branding, and web experiences. I thrive in experimental and high-volume environments — using my collaborative spirit to deliver creative work while driving process improvements and building community.
My aesthetic is bold and vibrant, merging vintage charm with tasteful minimalism. I love advertising that is eye-catching, clever, and unexpected. I have a knack for bridging creative, innovative solutions with practical application. I love using design to help both brand and consumer — bringing a client’s vision to life, while solving its user’s needs — as I thoroughly believe successful design builds customer trust.
Accessibility, Neurodiversity, and Inclusivity are important causes I implement in both my design and copywriting work — achieving this through my passion of making complex information intuitive and digestible. In or outside my profession, I value staying well-rounded, resourceful, and always learning.
Background
I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design and Concentration in Web Design — after initially studying Multimedia Journalism and Environmental Studies.
My background in storytelling and love of creative writing allow me to apply copywriting skills to connect brand messaging and customer engagement.
Prior to my career as a designer, I worked for several years in various fields including customer service, operations, and administration — within retail, third party logistics (3PL), and healthcare.
Personal
I see the world through a creative lens and love keeping myself inspired. Snapping pictures of my surroundings, studying inspiring work, and learning new techniques are ways I continue evolving, creatively.
I’m a transplant to Seattle but grew up in the Midwest — having lived in Chicagoland for 16 years, with a hometown in Kansas City. I’m a city girl at heart and love exploring neighborhoods and attending a variety of events. When I’m home — I fill my space with music or keep busy binging suspenseful TV shows, watching sports, reading mystery fiction, writing poetry and thought-pieces, practicing design and digital illustration, and geeking out over fandom, planning, research, science, walking tours, and product review videos.
Family is everything to me. Their love and my experiences from them have shaped me to have a big, empathetic heart — also valuing being helpful, considerate, and living intentionally.
